An Important Message About Reaching the Heart
with Pastor Mark Ott

These are exciting times for Hope Christian Fellowship, the people who
bring you Reaching the Heart radio program. Back in November of last
year, we stepped out in faith to share the blessing of the teaching of Pastor
Mark Ott with the listeners of Hope FM. We knew how vitally applicable the
Bible is to our everyday lives, and Mark’s teaching is a huge part of that for
our church.

We didn’t quite know what to expect, so we just prayed that the Lord would
bless our efforts. At first, we waited for reactions from Hope FM listeners, and
we heard crickets—absolutely nothing. But slowly a stream of new visitors
began coming who had heard about us from the Reaching the Heart Program.
We prayed that folks without a church home would wander through our doors
and help fill our growing church and we continue to be blessed by the answer
to this prayer.

We also prayed that we would soon be able to buy the synagogue building
which we were renting to make a more permanent home for HCF. That prayer
has also been answered by our great and generous God! By the time you read
this, we will own this perfect building on South Warner and King Streets in
Woodbury, New Jersey. We are convinced that this purchase was clear direction
from the hand of God, so we have dedicated more of our financial resources
to that end.

Unfortunately, that does not give us enough money to continue the Reaching
the Heart radio program as the sole sponsor. To date, we have only received
a literal handful of small donations through the mail and via our PayPal donation
button on this website. Unless that changes very quickly, and we receive enough
monthly support from outside our congregation, we will need to take a pause in
our broadcast of Pastor Mark’s teaching by July 31, 2010. We will actually have
to stop producing new programs and notify Hope FM several weeks prior to that
date, so there is precious little time for God to show us a different direction.

Understand that if God prompts enough people to support Reaching the Heart,
we will be faithful by keeping it on for as long as that level of support allows. And
if we feel the right choice is to take a break for the program, you will still be able
to hear and even download a new sermon by Pastor Mark every week on our
website. It is our privilege to continue bringing you that service as always, for free.

Either way, God is good! He has blessed us, and hopefully you, through the
Reaching the Heart program on Hope FM. Our sincere thanks to all our listeners,
and to Bill Luebkemann and the board of Hope FM who allowed us to be a part
of their station lineup.
